NYCC is thrilled to announce that Joshua Jackson will be appearing at NYCC as part of our Fringe panel – taking place Sunday, February 8. A critically acclaimed thriller, Fringe centers on an unlikely trio uncovering a mystery involving a series of unbelievable events and delves beneath the surface as the threat of a larger, more disturbing pattern blurs the line between the possible and the impossible. Fringe, from J.J. Abrams (Lost), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci – the team behind Star Trek, Mission: Impossible III and Alias – and fellow executive producers Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias) and Bryan Burk (Lost, Alias), airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Jackson portrays Peter Bishop on the hit series. Previously announced panelists include Anna Torv (“Olivia Dunham”), John Noble (“Dr. Walter Bishop”), Jasika Nicole (“Astrid Farnsworth”), Lance Reddick (“Phillip Broyles”), Kirk Acevedo (“Charlie Francis”), and Blair Brown (“Nina Sharp”).
New York Comic Con (NYCC) has today revealed details of its videogame industry attendance for the upcoming 2009 NYCC which will take place February 6 – 8 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. NYCC officials note that videogames have become a huge part of show planning and that the videogame section has become the single largest growth area for NYCC since 2008. Major exhibitors from the videogame industry will be displaying their product and introducing their latest games to thousands of eager fans in booths that will occupy over 11,000 square feet of exhibit space. This represents a 50 percent increase in exhibit space for videogames as compared to 2008.
Three of Marvel’s most celebrated and renowned creators and artists will be attending New York Comic Con (NYCC). The star-studded line up includes Guest of Honor appearances by Brian Michael Bendis, Gabrielle Dell’Otto and Matt Fraction, all of whom will appear on panels and will be autographing at different points throughout the thee-day show. New York Comic, which has grown rapidly since its launch in 2006 to become the second largest popular culture event in the United States, will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, February 6 – 8, 2009.
New York Comic Con (NYCC) today revealed that Mike "Gabe" Krahulik and Jerry "Tycho" Holkins will both appear at the 2009 New York Comic Con as Guests of Honor. Gabe and Tycho are the creators of the popular video game-themed webcomic Penny Arcade, and they will appear at New York Comic Con to take part in panels and signings. The 2009 New York Comic Con takes place February 6-8 in the Jacob Javits Center in New York, NY. Gabe and Tycho join Guests of Honor including Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, J. George Perez, Michael Straczynski, and Michael Uslan.
