Day four of the CMJ Marathon and I can honestly say that we have not seen a bad band. When you think about what the price for a major band, playing in a major venue, cost these days, CMJ offers music lovers the best bang for their buck. Also, what could be better then seeing a bad perform at one of these great intimate music venues, only to have them blow up a year from now and you can say you saw them when. When you hear all the stories about the golden days of rock, CMJ offers attendees the chance to be part of future rock history. That’s not to mention all the great panels that already have taken place that give you the unique chance not just to hear from people in the music industry, but this personal setting allow you to interact with them and acquire valuable knowledge. Plus, there were numerous panels on cutting edge technology coming down the pipe and discussions about a variety of issues of music on the web.
Day three and you’ll probably needs several cups of coffee and “5 Hour Energy” drinks to make your way around the city and see all the great stuff talking place today. It’s madness to try and cover everything and write it up. Hopefully on Friday we’ll be able to give you some thoughts, reviews, and images. Without a doubt, there are just so amazing venues and bands that this is the one festival that continues to deliver the best in live music. CMJ continues to offer attendees the opportunity to see extremely talented musicians in intimate settings. So here are some recommendations for Thursday to keep in mind as you plan your schedule.
