Fall is in the air! The students are heading back to school and Halloween is just around the corner. That means Lionsgate will be unleashing it last film in the Saw franchise – SAW V.

The screenplay is by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the guys that won the third Project Greenlight with the script “Feast.” Melton and Dunstan also penned the upcoming “Hellraiser” remake as well as two sequels to “Feast,” “Feats 2: Sloppy Seconds” and “Feast 3: The Happy Finish.” Taking the director’s chair and making his directorial debut is David Hackl, who served as production designer on SAW II, SAW III, SAW VI, and the upcoming “Repo! The Genetic Opera.”

 

Returning for this fifth installment is actor Costas Mandylor as Detective Hoffman, who is the last person alive to carry on Jigsaw’s Legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. Also returning for more madness and mayhem are actors Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith.
