FEARS EXCLUSIVE!

- The cameras are set to roll in a small town in Connecticut, the location for this new Christian/Supernatural/Thriller – CAMP HOPE.

Fifteen year-old Tommy and his family is part of a ridged Christian spiritual community that offers a summer camp experience to help solidify the moral and spiritual fiber of their youth. Your typical teenager, Tommy is not only distract from his goals by the teenage allures of young Melissa, his grandfather’s dying words that left him with serious questions about the community, but troubling nightmares plagued by demons. Tommy and his bunkmates, the rebellious Jack and the awkward Jimmy, try to make the best of two weeks at CAMP HOPE, but their quest for enlightened spirituality pure are overshadowed by increasingly sinister nightmares, the real threat of the local Metal Heads/Satanists that stalk the woods around the camp, and the overly zealous and menacing spiritual presence of Father Phineas. CAMP HOPE gives new meaning to summer camp being two weeks in hell! 

Joining the campers at CAMP HOPE are actors Will Denton, Connor Paolo, Spencer Treat Clark, and Valentina DeAngelis. Filling the posts of counselors at the summer camp are veteran actors Andrew McCarthy and Bruce Davidson, who FEARS bets plays the camps spiritual leader Fr. Phineas.

The director/writer of CAMP HOPE is George VanBuskirk, the producer of the critically acclaimed film “Roger Dodger,” makes his directorial debut on the film, and is joined by producer David Newman, who was also the executive producer on “Roger Dodger.” Michael McDonough is the cinematographer on CAMP HOPE with costume designer Erika Munro and production designer Carol Strober.

Dealing with the special effects on the film is veteran special effects makeup artist Louie Kazarian. Kazarian served as special effects supervisor on the 1996 Troma hit “Tromeo and Juliet.” In 1999 he worked with Kevin Smith as special makeup effects supervisor on “Dogma” and in 2000 he work with maverick filmmaker Darren Aronofsky on “Requiem for a Dream” as special makeup effects coordinator. Over the years Kazarian has also had a relationship with “Saturday Night Live” working in the makeup department on numerous episodes.
