{Hollywood Reporter} - Kevin Nealon has joined the cast of Fox's adventure comedy "They Came From Upstairs," starring Ashley Tisdale.

"Upstairs," produced by Barry Josephson and directed by John Schultz, revolves around a group of teens who team to defend their Maine vacation home from an alien invasion upstairs.

Nealon will play Tisdale's dad, Stuart Pearson. Gillian Vigman has already been cast as the mom.

Nealon plays Doug Wilson on Showtime's "Weeds," which is starting preproduction on its fourth season following an interim agreement between series producer Lionsgate TV and the WGA.

His upcoming features include "Remarkable Power" and "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."
