The tragedy continues at Dead Space’s NoKnownSurvivors, which just revealed the third chapter in their tragic tale of dementia and “Misplaced Affection”. When an American student studying art restoration in Rome unknowingly breaks the seal of a decrepit grave, it heralds the return of the smoky-eyed temptress Mater Lachrymarum, who is hell-bent on destroying humanity. As the city is consumed by chaos and terror, the lone art student is forced to confront the diabolical witch with her own supernatural abilities.
On Friday, September 5th, Lionsgate and Nicolas Cage will roll out the English language remake of the Pang Brothers’ BANGKOK DNAGEROUS, with the Pang brothers at the helm and screenwriter Jason Richman putting a slight different spin on their 1999 screenplay. Their 1999 version was recently re-released – August 5th, 2008 – by First Look Pictures on DVD. If you’re not familiar with the Pang Brothers, these are the Hong Kong film mavericks that created “The Eye (aka Jian gui)” franchise, “Infernal Affairs (aka Mou gaan dou)” that the Academy Award winning “The Departed” was based on, and “Re-Cycle (aka Gwai wik)” that recently had a run on the Sundance Channel on Demand. They made their American debut with the Ghost House Pictures’ film, produced by Sam Rami, “The Messengers.”

This year’s event will pair Hollywood’s top entertainment scenic and special effects artists with a cast of thousands to create terrifying new experiences including a “Terror Tram” excursion that will feature a stopover at the infamous Bates Motel, a new scare zone based on the hit movie, “The Strangers” anda bloodcurdling new “Nightmare on Elm Street” maze, all contributing to Southern California’s most intense Halloween experience.
