This month of nonstop, bone-chilling terror films asks viewers ìHow do you like your horror?î
The fright on Starz includes a 24-hour horror marathon beginning Oct. (Friday the) 13th, kicking off with the world television premiere of the Starz original production Going To Pieces: The Rise and Fall of The Slasher Film at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), which will be repeated on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) and Oct. 31 at 11 p.m. (ET/PT). Going To Pieces: The Rise and Fall of The Slasher Film provides a comprehensive and original look at the importance, prominence and newfound legitimacy of the ìslasher film.î The feature-length documentary contains interviews with pre-eminent actors, directors and producers, special effects masters, composers and experts, including such horror icons as Wes Craven, John Carpenter and Rob Zombie, and is interspersed with some of the most memorable scenes from classic films of the genre, as well as many current hits. The special is based on the book of the same title by Adam Rockoff. |
