BY Alison James {Variety} - Sylvie Barro has been upped to head of development at SIP Animation, the company announced Tuesday. Company minority-owned by Walt Disney Company produces the Mouse Houses hit cartoon series "W.I.T.C.H." but also continues to operate as an independent studio, acquiring and creating its own portfolio of animated programming. Before her latest appointment Barro was previously story editor and line producer of SIPs hit series "A.T.O.M. Alpha Teens on Machines" seasons one and two. In the past she worked for Frances Carrere Group and as a script consultant for various London and L.A. based production companies. Created by Haim Saban in 1977, SIP moved into animation in 1988. It has produced 21 series repping a total 750 half-hour episodes. |
