{Variety} - John Singleton will direct "Executive Order: Six," a thriller to be financed by Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity. Plan is to begin production early next year, and casting is under way.

Philip Eisner's script, based on a story he wrote with Robbie Consing, follows the residents of a small, snowbound town, who band together to fight a mysterious horror that turns out to be an alien being unleashed by a plane crash.

{Variety} -  The first round of awards have been dished out by the U.K. Film Council's revamped development fund.

Among the winners are writer-director Christopher Smith, who burst onto the scene with a duo of horror movies, "Creep" and "Severance," is developing "Triangle," billed as a psychological horror.

Smith collaborator Jason Newmark will produce with the project, receiving 7,500 pound ($15,000) from the fund.

{Variety} - Bruce Willis will star in “The Surrogates,” a sci-fi thriller that Jonathan Mostow will direct for Disney. The studio is eyeing a February production start in Boston.

A Willis deal comes just as United Artists unplugs “Pinkville,” the My Lai massacre drama in which Willis was going to star for director Oliver Stone next month.

{Variety} - Vivendi Games is pacting with Sony Pictures to turn "Ghostbusters" into a videogame franchise.

First title in what the publisher hopes will be a series of "Ghostbusters" games is set for release in fall '08 from Vivendi's Sierra label.

{Variety} - Twentieth Century Fox is bringing the Japanese manga phenomenon "Dragonball" to the bigscreen.

Justin Chatwin will star as Goku, a powerful warrior who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name. James Marsters is onboard as the film's villain Piccolo.

{Hollywood Reporter} - Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody, the respective director and writer of Fox Atomic's buzzed-about feature "Juno," are joining forces again.

Reitman and producing partner Dan Dubiecki are coming aboard to produce "Jennifer's Body," Cody's comedic horror movie recently set up at Atomic.
