THE ROAD, not to be confused with the 2009 film based on the Cormac McCarthy novel, opens Friday, May 11th, in 16 markets theatrically, including New York and Los Angeles.

The story focuses on a police detective who must confront a 12 year old unsolved case when three teens go missing along an abandoned road. In the course of his investigation the story of both abduction cases becomes gruesome the deeper he digs. In a tale that actually spans more than two decades, the secrets of the haunted road may finally be revealed.

No one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of summer’s best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park. Dr. Goodman (Christopher Lloyd) the eccentric piranha expert returns and is aided by survivors Andrew Cunningham (Paul Scheer) and the partially devoured Deputy Fallon (Ving Rhames) to take another fish frenzy. Taking on these little horrors from the deep are David Hasselhoff (Baywatch) as a celebrity lifeguard at the racy water park, and Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, and David Koechner.

Mark Hughes (Josh Close) and Mary (Selma Blair) have two loving children. Their pefect life is shatter due to the tragic death of their daughter, Tess.
